My Favorite Ski Essentials

Skiing is a beloved winter activity for many, but before hitting the slopes, it’s important to cover your basics when it comes to bearing the cold – in style, of course. There are so many different ski styles and price ranges to choose from, and while ski clothes can be expensive, they are built to last and will keep you warm and protected on the mountain. Today, I’m helping you take a closer look at my favorite ski styles and essentials at various price ranges available, as well as tips for selecting the right gear for your needs!

My Favorite Ski Essentials

The Ski Basics

Let’s start with the must-haves for all skiers. You’ll need a solid pair of ski pants, essential for layering with warm and comfortable leggings. My favorite ski pants are made by Holden – they come in both black or white. These high-waisted ski pants are made for movement and provide that extra stretch. Plus, they’re a stylish choice for après-ski, too. I like to layer my ski pants over my Erin Snow Leggings. Not only are they perfect for hitting the slopes, but they are great for outside workouts, too! A must-have!

On top, you’ll need a base of warm layers. Start with a long-sleeve ski top or bodysuit. From there, you’ll add a thick and cozy ski coat. This hooded down coat is insulated and comes with a little bit of sparkle! Then, add any accessories – scarves, beanies, mittens, or earmuffs!

The Trendy Skier

Wanting that extra glam look for your next ski trip? I’ve got you covered! Whether you’re wanting to stand out in shiny silver and pops of pink or a patterned ski suit, I’ve picked some stylish slope options!

A good skisuit goes a long way. I love this one in houndstooth or this hot pink number! Or, you can go a little more subtle with this star patterned skisuit and pair it with these chic and shiny silver snowboots!

Looking for a little color on that snow-covered mountain? This colorblock jacket gives just that – or go full-out in this striped skisuit. Don’t forget the matching beanie and ski goggles!

The Chic Skier

Looking for some chic, neutral options? These selections are good as gold. This Airwarm top and bottom set is the perfect cream contrast to a snow-peaked canvas. I love the look of cream and black together, which is why this set would be perfect with this all-black hooded quilted ski jacket. Don’t forget the ski boots, goggles, and matching mittens – this pair of shearling boots can complete the look!

Feeling more gray this ski season? Start with this warm wool sweater and add this two-toned gray ski-suit. Complete the look with these ultra chic all-white fur and faux leather boots!

Après Ski for Me

Sure, skiing down a winter white mountain is great, but Après ski is where it’s at for me. Whether it’s a casual drink with friends at a mountain-side bar or a lively après ski party, this is an essential part of the ski experience.

Some of my favorite selects for a ski wind-down are this starry skisuit or this houndstooth one, both mentioned above! Wanting a true Après moment? This skisuit is dedicated to just that! Or this faux fur one can add a pop of pattern to the party!

Don’t skip on the accessories! These shearling snow boots are a MOMENT. Plus, they fit nicely over some comfy, cozy leather stirrup ski pants. Pair it with this matching glamour ski top and a chic Chloe ski hat. Lastly, don’t forget the sunnies! These Dior aviators are seriously so glam.

The Budget Babe

Wanting to hit the slopes in style, but on a budget? These chic options are not only perfect for your next ski trip, but budget-friendly too!

Burton makes quality ski gear at a great price. These leggings and matching top are the perfect base layer to your ski ensemble. Next, add this faux-fur hooded jacket (under $70!) and some waterproof lace-up booties. Grab these goggles and gloves to complete the look!

Ready to hit the slopes?
