The weather is heating up which means shorts season is approaching… Now, I love a good pair of denim shorts, but finding a pair that fits well, is high-quality, a nice length, and is comfortable, can be a MAJOR pain. Especially now when we do so much shopping online, it’s hard to know how something will fit and how it will look in person! I’ve had my fair share of denim shorts ordering fails, but feel like I finally have found a few solid pairs that get me through the warmer seasons. So… I’m sharing them with you in this summer shorts guide!
Of course, it very much depends on what you’re looking for in a pair of shorts- i.e. length, wash, distressing/no distressing, rigid/stretchy denim, etc., but I included a little something in here for everyone. I’ll be sharing even more shorts and warm-weather bottoms on my LTK so make sure to follow me over there, and let me know in the comments some of your go-to shorts for summer (I’d love to snag some new ones!). Now let’s get into it…

I know for me, a frequent struggle is finding shorts that are long enough but not TOO long, I’m looking for that perfect in-between. I LOVE the AGOLDE Parker Shorts for just that- a longer pair that is still fun with the cutoff hem, and the light wash is perfect for summer. Here are the Parker Shorts with a distressed cuffed hem if you’re looking for something a little different! I also like this Mid-Length Pair from Abercrombie for a nice in-between length.
If shorter cutoffs are your thing, these Levi’s Shorts are too cute! I also like them in this style that doesn’t have any distressing and is a little bit of a lighter wash. These Abercrombie Shorts are another good option if you want a shorter pair, but the denim is a little stretchier than the denim on the Levi’s shorts.
While I love my classic blue denim shorts, I wanted to include this White Pair as well! With white shorts I think it’s important to invest in a quality pair because there is nothing worse than see-through shorts, am I right?? I also am loving these Tailored Shorts for more of a polished & dressier look- super cute for office to happy hour during the warm months.
Overall, it’s important to find a style that YOU feel amazing in and that might take some trial and error (I know it did for me!). Hopefully, these can get you off to a great start!
