Enter Nourish Foods-a clean eats meal delivery service that is chef prepared, southern inspired, and delivered to your door. It is seriously making my life easier meal by meal. Do I have to cook the meals?
NO! This is the best part. I have used some other meal delivery services where they deliver the ingredients, and you prepare the food. This is a nice concept, but it still took me an hour to cook. Nourish Foods is totally different. The meals are chef prepared and delivered to your door. No food prep and no cooking. Simply heat the meals in the oven or in the microwave.
What diets does Nourish Foods adhere to and what plans do they offer?
The offer Individual, Couples, or Family Plans and can even provide add ons for the kiddos. Even though they work in a kitchen that can contain common allergens: NUTS, EGGS, SOY, SHELLFISH, GLUTEN, & MILK, they can accommodate all of the above allergies. When you initially check out, please select your allergies and each week you will only see the meals from our menu that are appropriate for your dietary restrictions. And if you ever have a question, please feel free to reach out to them via text or email [email protected]. They were able to accommodate me when I did Whole 30 back in January!
Can you provide nutrition for each meal?
They currently have the Macronutrients on each meal label and online as well. This includes CALORIES, PROTEIN, CARBS, SUGAR, FAT AND SODIUM.
How do I order?
1) Pick the subscription plan that best suits you.
2) Choose your specific meals from our menu that you want delivered the following week.
3) Check out.
Each Sunday you’ll receive a text on your phone to choose your meals from their menu for the following weeks delivery. Their menu rotates each week, so they can keep your meals seasonal and exciting.
All of their plans are currently subscriptions. Each subscription will process on Tuesday at noon CST for the next week, so if you do not choose your meals or opt to skip that week, the Nourish team will happily choose meals based on your preferences! They leave ordering open until Thursday at 5pm CST for new orders.
Does Nourish Foods deliver? What if I don’t live in Birmingham?
They deliver across the country, so delivery and shipping costs will vary based on where you live. Before you checkout, you will see the delivery options screen for your location and the cost of your specific location.
Deliveries in downtown Birmingham and surrounding suburbs are delivered on Sunday between 12-5pm via courier. It really is THE BEST feeling to walk out and see your Nourish delivery!
Deliveries outside of downtown Birmingham will arrive Wednesday or Thursday, depending on your location.
When you receive your meals, simply unpack them into your fridge and they are good for 5-6 days. All meals have a “consume by” date on the individual label.
What if I forget to place my order?

Is the food fresh or frozen? And can I freeze the meals?
The food is FRESH and ready to eat. All you need to do is follow the heating instructions on the front of each meal. We typically heat ours in the oven. They can be microwaved if you are in a hurry though. Yes, you can freeze the meals for up to 3 months!
Be honest. Does the food REALLY taste good? And will my husband eat it?
Ryan is SUCH a food snob, and he LOVES these meals. He gets just as excited on Sundays as I do! The food tastes amazing, and they use real, whole ingredients.
What are you favorites?
Gosh, I have SO many. Today I ate the Pesto Shrimp. It was AH-MAZING. Imagine sugar snap peas, fresh greens, carrots, and delicious shrimp. I am also OBSESSED with their chicken salad. I could literally live off that. Their beef and pork dishes are truly amazing. You can tell they use high quality meats and cook it to the perfect temperature. The jerk chicken thighs with pineapple slaw had all 3 of us wanting more! So yummy. You honestly can’t go wrong, and they have stuff the entire family will love!
Nourish Foods: My Overall Thoughts
You guys, we absolutely love these meals. Of course, they are convenient, which is key for us. HOWEVER, the ingredients they use and the taste of the food is just as important. We love that they focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods. The food is not only beautiful but high quality as well. They cook like I cook…BUT BETTER! I have tried several meal delivery services, and this one stands out to me, because 1) you don’t actually have to cook anything 2) the quality and taste of the food is far superior and 3) Nourish was founded by two moms, who are both chefs that love to eat. Their mission was to provide healthy, convenient meals, prepared by chefs. The flexibility of the program is amazing.

Our lives are so hectic right now with a toddler and a newborn. Ryan loves to cook, but he works an insane schedule at work. It is just not feasible every night of the week, and I really do not love to cook. Also, I am HORRIBLE about getting super busy during the day and just grabbing whatever is convenient out of the fridge for lunch. These meals have been a Godsend for me having Holden at home.
For the past few weeks, I am have been working really hard on getting him on a schedule. So, that means we don’t leave the house all day. These meals ensure that I eat a nutrient-dense meal with enough calories to maintain my milk supply. I cannot thank them enough for helping our family through this newborn stage, so we can spend time enjoying each other instead of stressing about dinner or lunch.
Are there meals that we like more than others? ABSOLUTELY. Has there been a meal we just didn’t like? Nope, not at all. These meals really do taste like something you would cook yourself or get at a high end restaurant.
