HOLDEN 6 MONTH SCHEDULE + UPDATE

Yall, my baby is 6 months. How did this happen? I swear I had ALL intentions of putting up a 4 month update, but yeah that did not happen. I also owe you a PDF of his schedule. How about I create a PDF that shows a 2 month, 4 month, and 6 month schedule? Would that work? Also, you guys are more than welcome to email me or DM ANYtime with questions. Here is a little 6 month update and 6 month schedule for Baby Holden aka our angel baby. Also, don’t forget you can check out Holden’s 2 month schedule and update here, as well as all the Asher posts here.

BABY HOLDEN

Here are a few recent iPhone pictures of Baby Holden and Asher. As much as Holden smiles, you would think I could capture a smile in one of these pictures. Probs because Asher is constantly cuddling him to death. SO CUTE THOUGH. Keep scrolling for his favs, his hates, and his 6 month SCHEDULE![one_fourth padding=”0 2.5 0 0″][/one_fourth][one_fourth padding=”0 2.5 0 0″][/one_fourth][one_fourth padding=”0 2.5 0 0″][/one_fourth][one_fourth_last][/one_fourth_last]

BABY HOLDEN: STATS

WEIGHT: 15.8 lbs (Asher was 16 lbs even)

LENGTH: 26.5 inches (Asher was 27 inches)

HEAD: 16 7/8 inches (Asher was 17 inches)

SIZES: Honest diapers size 3; 3-6 or 6-12 months in clothes

DIET: 5 ounces of breastmilk, 5 times per day // He has tried carrots, eggplant, zucchini, quinoa, salmon, eggs, and steak.

PERSONALITY: Holden is seriously the SWEETEST boy in the whole world. He RARELY cries and smiles nonstop! He has gotten very affectionate with mama, playing with my hair, scratching my back, and kissing my face. He loves cuddling with big brother and playing with dada’s beard. MELT.

SLEEP: Goes to bed at 7:30 am, and we wake him up around 7:15-7:30 am to get ready for school. He wakes up with the biggest smile on his face. He sleeps on his tummy in a Zipadee sleep sack (greatest thing ever, BTW).

PACI: Sometimes takes a paci but not all the time. We LOVE the EcoPaci by EcoPiggy.

BABY HOLDEN: NICKNAMES

We had SO MANY nicknames for Asher, but we really don’t have many for Holden. Baby Holden, Baby HOOOO-den, Lil Guy, Angel Baby, and Lil Fella are about it!

BABY HOLDEN: 6 MONTH SCHEDULE

We are slowly introducing solids via Baby Led Weaning. More than likely, we will start sending bite-sized pieces to school. But for the past few weeks, he has been eating food at breakfast and dinner. Today, he shared chicken with me for lunch.

7:15am-7:30am: Wake up! We typically have to go wake him up. On the weekends, we let him sleep a little later until 8.

7:30am-9:30am: Eat breakfast (eggs and applesauce or avocado), play with big brother, and get ready for school

9:30am-10:30am: Nap in crib at school

10:30 am: Milk time

10:30 am-12:00 pm/12:30pm: Playtime

12:00 pm-2:00pm (sometimes 3 pm!): LONG nap in his crib at school; usually longer nap when home on the weekends

2:00pm (or whenever he wakes up from his nap…3 hours is typically the max we will let him sleep): Milk time

2:00pm-4:00pm/4:30pm: Playtime

4:30pm-5:30pm: Quick cat nap until we pick him up from school

6:30pm-7:00pm: Milk and dinner with family

7:30 pm: Night night!

BABY HOLDEN: FAQS

You guys asked, so I answer! Thank you so much for submitting your questions. Here are the 6 most popular questions and responses.

1. What’s the one thing that Holden does that makes you laugh every time?

Oh my gosh, SO many things. Every morning when we wake him up, he pushes up like a seal and gives us the biggest smile. We die out laughing every time. Right now, he is copying stuff we do, which is pretty hilarious. And he LOVES “eating Asher’s nose.” He will literally bite his nose and start laughing. When he talks like a pterodactyl or blows bubbles, we DIE. Lastly, his laugh is so infectious. I could be having the worst day, and once he starts laughing, I join right in!

2. Still using a sleepsack?

YES! We are still using the Zipadee. It keeps him cozy but allows him to roll back to front and front to back. I could not recommend this more! I think we have 3 of them and never leave home without them. Newborn/infant MUST HAVE.

3. Do the boys resemble you or Ryan as babies?

I don’t think either one of them looked like us as babies. HOWEVER, Asher is definitely Ryan’s twin, and Holden is my twin. Holden also looks IDENTICAL to my brother. It is super freaky how similar they look! For 2.5 years, I tried to convince myself and everyone around me that Asher looked like me. Then, when Holden was born, my mini-me was born. Asher and I have the same personality though. Sorry, Ryan! I know two of me is a LOT to handle.

4. What is your typical schedule? When did you start solids.

See above for his schedule! We started dabbling with solids around 5 months but nothing consistent. Right now, we are giving him food at breakfast and dinner during the week and will probably start sending food to school this week. We aren’t doing many purees, mostly Baby Led Weaning. We did this in conjunction with SOME purees, but this concept is what helped Asher become such a great eater. Again, shoot me an email with ANY questions or comment below. I am happy to help!

5. What is the highest and lowest part of transitioning back to full time (work) after having Baby Holden?

The highest part is definitely being able to chase my dreams and having adult interaction everyday. While it is so hard to leave him, I know I am not fit to be a SAHM. I love being part of such a wonderful team with my full-time job and impacting the lives of the people I work with each day. With that being said, the lowest part is leaving him each week. Do I love the alone time? Sure, who wouldn’t, but getting on that airplane each week is SO. HARD. Like BRUTALLY, GUT-WRENCHING hard. But you know what they say…”I never said it wouldn’t be tough. But I said it would be worth it.” SO TRUE!

6. What do you miss most now that Holden is 6 months?

Honestly, nothing at all. To me, it gets better and better every single day!
