Trick or Treat, it’s SPOOKY SZN! I have been collecting costumes over the past several years and finally have enough to put together a Halloween Costume Guide, including creative halloween costumes for the entire family. These can be worn together, individually, or as couple costumes. Which one is your favorite? Comment below! Oh, and PS, all everything linked in this post will arrive in plenty of time for Halloween. Are you guys Trick or Treating?
CREATIVE FAMILY HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
Here a few of our favorite family costumes. A lot of these are DIY and can be done super last minute. Seriously, I planned all of these within DAYS of Halloween. Thank you, Amazon.
GAME OF THRONES
This was one of my absolute favorite Halloween costumes to date. Our Jon Snow didn’t make it back in town in time, but Khaleesi and her dragon sure had a lot of fun. Well, maybe not the dragon. All I purchased for my costume was an ashy blonde wig. I used a dress and boots that I already owned. You can find a last minute dragon costumes here.
BABY SHARKS ATTACK SURFER DAD AND MAMA LIFE GUARD SAVES THE DAY
Ok, this actually may be my favorite so far. How cute are the baby sharks? Clearly, one was not very happy, but he sure was adorable. Ole Miss typically plays Auburn on Halloween weekend, so I took it to the next level by wearing my Ole Miss attire and making our baby sharks into landsharks ha. The blood and the surf board totally made it, IMO. Most of this Halloween costume can be handmade or quick shipped from Amazon. I linked everything below the image for easy shopping.
CLARK KENT, LOIS LANE, AND SUPERMAN
This was our first family Halloween costume, and it turned out SO cute. It was almost 100% DIY, with the exception of Ryan’s Superman cape. We used everything else that we already owned. If you don’t own the items, they can be shipped quickly from Amazon or picked up from Target. You can shop the costume underneath the image!
FUN COUPLE COSTUMES
Ok, this Halloween costume you are about to see is E P I C. Have you ever seen Narcos? Well, allow me to introduce you to…
TATA + PABLO ESCOBAR
My entire costume was purchased at a thrift store in Birmingham. For Tata, look for 80’s designer pieces. Think puff sleeves, high waisted pegged pants, and a ton of gold jewelry–wait, sounds like my closet right now. For Ryan, he grew his beard out all week, then shaved all but his mustache. His chest hair completed the look with a linen button down and bellbottom jeans. He even carried around a bag of baking soda for extra effect. I linked everything that will arrive before Halloween.
INDIVIDUAL + CREATIVE KIDS COSTUMES
Ok, I have definitely saved the best for last…and lemme tell ya…these costumes are some RISKY BUSINESS.
RISKY BUSINESS
SHOP HIS RISKY BUSINESS COSTUME
1-800-DEAD. I cannot get over how cute he is. I am seriously considering dressing him up as Tom Cruise from Risky Business again this year. This costume is SO simple and beyond adorable. One of my dear friends is dressing her daughter up in this costume. I DIE. Supplies needed: white button down, tighty whities, retro sunglasses, and white tube socks. This would be really cute for an adult as well.
PJ MASKS
PJ Masks are on our way…into the night to save the day! Ok, maybe this one isn’t super creative, but it sure is cute. Don’t forget about Owelette, Romeo, and the rest of the gang as well. This would be an adorable and/or couple’s costume too!
ALL SHOOK UP

Baby Elvis sure was all shook up that year. I took a baby Elvis costume I found on Amazon and bedazzled it with some additional jewels. It was a HIT!
CAPTAIN ASHER AMERICA + SPIDERMAN
SHOP THEIR SUPERHERO COSTUMES HERE
Another pretty common-not-so-creative-but-super-cute costume idea. I threw on a sequin cat woman mask, vegan leather top and pants, a studded belt, and OTK boots to complete the family look. But, if you want an easy breezy adorable costume, this idea is perfect, whether it’s for you or your kids.
TROLL
And last but not least is one of my FAVORITE and super creative Halloween costumes ever. You could dress yourself, your kids, or your whole family with adorable hot pink hair and a patch on your tummy. Simply pair a nude leotard with shiny nude dance tights and a pink wig, and you are all set. If you are feeling super creative, iron a patch onto your tummy.
